Oud & Shuga is the creative collaboration of Lori and Ayanna, two women entrepreneurs and longtime believers in the power of beauty, hospitality, and connection. Based in the historic heart of Casco Viejo, Panama, they’ve built The Alchemy of the Senses—an intimate, 90-minute sensory experience where guests explore rare oud, musk, resin, and floral oils, savor handcrafted truffles, and create a signature scent of their own.
Lori is a natural host with a gift for transforming spaces into unforgettable settings. An Airbnb Superhost, former catering-company owner, and chocolatier, she brings years of hospitality experience and a love of color, design, and glamour to the Oud & Shuga showroom—echoing the vibrant spirit of her celebrated Chicago property.
Ayanna brings over two decades of creative entrepreneurship and social-impact work. An artist and former Washington, DC gallery owner, she moved to Casco Viejo in October 2025 and was immediately drawn to its artistic energy. She’s also the founder of a women’s-empowerment nonprofit in Zimbabwe, carrying that same spirit of community and creativity into everything Oud & Shuga does.
